About the Author
Pat Freeman has lived all of her life in Southwestern, Ontario, Canada, and has lived in Sarnia, Ontario since 1957. She is the divorced mother of six, and grandmother of fourteen, and step-grandmother to three. After twenty-five years of homemaking, she moved to London, Ontario and started a new career as a Christian Addictions Counselor. She focused on alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, and also grief counseling. Employed by the Salvation Army in London, Ontario, working with transients, and prison inmates, she has travelled throughout the Province of Ontario, visiting in most of the prisons and jails. Her jail ministry spanned eleven years.
After her eldest son’s death in 1997, she took an early retirement from her position with the Salvation Army, but continued to visit in the prisons and jails for a few more years, and continued to counsel on a volunteer basis. She moved back to Sarnia in 2002, where she now lives near her children and grandchildren. This first time author is presently involved with speaking to women’s groups on occasion, is a one-on-one counselor and mentor, and a Bible Study teacher.
